So, let me tell you a story about three principles that made me $100,000 in my first year of business. Sounds interesting, right? I mean, who doesn’t want to make that kind of money? Well, these three principles not only helped me make a lot of money, but they also helped me create a loyal following.

So, what’s my secret? It’s all about connecting with your audience and sharing your unique voice. You don’t have to try to fit into someone else’s mold or follow someone else’s path. You can create your own table and build your own success. And I’m here to show you how to do it.

Let me share with you the three email fixes that will get you more yeses from your readers.

First of all, size doesn’t matter as much as you think it does. It’s all about being concise and getting to the point.

Secondly, the simplest way is often the most effective.

And finally, you need to find a way to stand out in people’s inboxes.

Think about it like this: have you ever been in a networking call where someone just goes on and on and on, and you can’t pay attention anymore?

Or have you been in a conversation where you and the other person just didn’t click?

That’s what happens a lot in people’s inboxes. But with these three principles, you can create a standout interaction that will make people want to read your emails and take action.

So, are you ready to learn more? Let’s dive deeper into these three principles and see how they can help you grow your business and make more money.

In writing an email, what matters more than its length is the quality of your connection to your reader. When you prioritize building a relationship with your reader, they will know that they can trust you and are more likely to buy from you.

In a study conducted by Sprout Social, it was found that 3/4 of consumers would buy from a brand that they feel connected to over a competitor, and 57% say they are more likely to increase how much they spend with the business when they feel connected.

Thus, creating a connection with your reader is important. Instead of asking how long your email should be, the question to ask is how to create connection in your email.

Here are three secrets to creating a connection with your reader.

First, become insatiably curious about what your ideal client finds meaningful.

Second, use stories to become relatable and give your reader a reason to keep opening your emails.

Finally, be authentic and transparent, as this can help you double your sales.

There are simple ways to make your emails more conversational and to create a stronger connection with your readers.

The first step is to write like you talk. No one wants to talk to a robot, even a professional robot. We want to be conversational because conversational equals connection. The fastest and simplest way to start sounding like you talk is to use contractions. When we talk in real life conversations, we don’t say, “Hello, I am going to the movies. You are welcome to attend.” We say, “Hey, I’m going to the movies. Wanna come?” Using contractions will make your writing sound more like you and less like a corporate drone.

The second step is to make your readers see what you’re seeing. Take your time and use your senses to help your reader see, hear, smell, taste, and feel their way through your writing. For example, if you’re talking about your first time on stage, don’t just say it was nerve-wracking. Describe how you felt, what you were thinking, and what you were doing. Did you walk up on stage feeling nervous? Did you fumble up the steps, sweat starting to pool on your forehead, heart beating out of your chest? Did you think to yourself, “I hope they don’t see my hands shaking”? When you paint a vivid picture with your words, your readers will feel like they’re right there with you.

The third step is to focus on creating a connection with your readers, rather than on the length of your email. Don’t be afraid to write longer emails if that’s what it takes to create a stronger connection with your readers. Gina, the co-owner of Ultimate Life, was struggling to convert her list into clients. Her click-through rates and sales were not where she wanted them to be. She was so focused on keeping her emails short that she was killing her connection with her readers. But when she rewrote her emails with a focus on connection, her click-through rate tripled, and she tripled her sales in just three weeks.

Finally, don’t be afraid to invest in your copywriting skills. There are many great resources available to help you improve your writing, including Joanna Wiebe of Copy Hackers, Roy Schwartz, who was Amy Porterfield’s copywriter for years, and the salty Australian bloke named Pete Godfrey. These experts can help you learn how to create a great connection with your readers and avoid creating content just for content’s sake.

What this comes down to is simple. If you want to write emails that connect with your readers, start by writing like you talk to make your readers see what you’re seeing, and focusing on creating connection rather than on length. And don’t be afraid to invest in your copywriting skills. With these simple steps, you can create emails that engage and convert, and grow your business like crazy.

Write Boldly

Bold sells. Bold gets attention.

Let’s talk about being bold in email marketing and branding.

First off, let’s clear up any misconceptions about what being bold means. It’s not about being hard, brash, or outspoken. Instead, it’s about tapping into that lion’s roar inside of you and sharing your unique message with the world. You already have that boldness within you – it just needs to be developed and shared responsibly.

A great example of someone who embodies this kind of boldness (and the success that accompanies it) is Marie Forleo and her award-winning show, Marie TV. With over 700,000 subscribers on YouTube, Marie regularly hosts interviews with incredible people like Tony Robbins, Damon John, Tim Ferris, and more. What’s the one message that she shares at the close of every show? “The world needs that special gift that only you have.”

It’s important to develop your own voice and message and share it with your audience. This is what will set you apart and drive engagement. Even if your message is kind, gentle, and empathetic, it can still be bold and powerful. Remember, it’s not about being more, it’s about being more of who you are.

Don’t worry about the size of your email list or audience – it’s about the connection you make with them. So, ask yourself, is there anyone you can reach out to and offer something of value? Whether it’s an online program, group coaching, or one-on-one sessions, there are people out there who need what you have to offer.

Don’t wait until you think you’re “ready” – take action now while the iron is hot. You already have that boldness inside of you, so let it shine and make a difference in the world.

What do you think sets you apart from the rest?

What’s your unique point of view that can make people rally behind you and say yes to your offers?

Can you imagine implementing this boldness into your emails and communications? Even if it’s kind, gentle, permission-based, or empathetic, having a clear and confident message can help you stand out and convert more people. Remember, it’s not about the size of your audience, but the connection you create with them.

Whether you have 98 people or 98,000, you can always reach out and make awesome invitations. Do you have something valuable to offer that people would pay for, like an online program, coaching package, or membership site? Don’t wait until you think you’re ready or until your list is bigger.

So, in this article, I covered a lot of ‘threes’ including three fixes that can make your emails hard to ignore, three secrets to create a connection with your reader (and potential client), three simple ways to make your emails more friendly and engaging, and finally, the three ways to get more yeses from your list. That’s a lot of 3s, but I have one final set of three for you…

The 3 Main Reasons Clients Fire Their Coach

  1. Lack of communication: If you don’t communicate regularly with your client, they may feel neglected or unimportant, which can lead to frustration and ultimately push them away.
  1. Poor customer service: If you don’t provide excellent customer service, your client may feel undervalued and unappreciated, which can cause them to seek out other options.
  1. Overpromising and underdelivering: If you promise your client something that you can’t deliver or don’t deliver it in a timely manner, they may lose trust in you and feel like you’re not capable of meeting their needs. This can lead to dissatisfaction and ultimately push them away.

To wrap this up, make sure you know that while it’s important to work hard to advertise and market your coaching services or products, it’s equally important to avoid common email mistakes that can push away potential clients, subscribers, and sales.

You work hard to get them, you should work equally hard to keep them.

Many people struggle with writing engaging and effective emails, but there are simple fixes that can turn “no’s” into “yeses” and make your emails impossible to ignore.

By connecting with your audience and sharing your unique voice, being concise and getting to the point, and finding a way to stand out in people’s inboxes, you can create a standout interaction that will make people want to read your emails and act.

Whether you’re a seasoned email marketer or just starting out, these three email fixes can help you create a loyal following and turn your email list into a profitable asset.
